The 2025 Presidential inauguration of Donald Trump has been painted with the broad brush of hero, the return of the king, and the start of a golden age in America. But the whole thing is marred with caesar-augustus worship, executive orders, and pardons from the previous administration. Biden pardoned people for unspecified crimes and Trump wants to investigate Biden’s executive orders while issuing a slew of his own during his first day in office. Meanwhile, the sheer cost of an inauguration for any party leader reaches into the quarter-billion dollar territory. The focus on issued orders, non-specific pardons, and hundreds of millions spent on parties is yet another example of the core problem in America.
