Grace A. Dow Memorial Library | Richard Nixon Lecture

On 12/6/2018 Mitchell Hall from Central Michigan University presented his lecture on the presidency of Richard Nixon. History buffs might remember when Nixon said "I am not a crook" as the Watergate scandal enveloped him. However, whether he was a crook or a victim of the times, Nixon was a complicated figure who was both brilliant and tragically flawed. Hall helped us understand how Nixon's personality and the politics of the day led him on the road to Watergate. Grace A. Dow Memorial Library's Meet the President Lecture Series ran from September to December of 2018.
