Grace for Others

A father once told his daughter, “Words are like seeds. They either grow flowers or weeds.” She never forgot it. Years later, when her colleague lashed out in frustration, she wanted to snap back—but instead, she breathed deeply and responded with kindness. That one gracious reply opened the door to a healing conversation that might never have happened otherwise. In Colossians 4:6, Paul urges us to let our conversations be full of grace, seasoned with salt. Why salt? Because salt preserves, purifies, and enhances flavour. When we speak with grace, we don’t just fill silence—we build up, heal, and point others to Jesus.
