Grace Has Won the Battle of the Heart

The heart follows what it loves, even when reason sees the damage caused by appetite, status, or pride. The apostle John sets love for the Father against a rebellious world whose desires can never satisfy and are already passing away. Jesus faced the same pattern of temptation that defeated Adam and Eve, yet He remained faithful. God's will is not an impossible ladder.
