She has won 6 Grammys and earned 14 gold and 3 platinum records. With the group, she has a star on the "Hollywood Walk of Fame" and was also inducted into "The Vocal Group Hall of Fame."  Florence received rave reviews for her one-woman show, "Just As I Am," and her cabaret show, "Musique a LaRue," both which she wrote, produced and starred in. At the onset of COVID-19, she created a national conference line to connect and encourage senior women who were alone and felt isolated.  Florence is continually striving to eradicate homelessness. This includes working with her church's homeless ministry and the Ann Douglas Center on skid-row in downtown Los Angeles.  Florence LaRue's many accolades include "The Spirit of Life" award from the City of Hope and "Outstanding Alumnus Award" from California State College at Los Angeles from which she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in education. Florence has also received numerous commendations for her philanthropic work. She is especially proud of her "President's Volunteer Service Award" from the White House "in recognition of commitment for making a difference through volunteer service."  Florence has just published her first book, "Grace in Your Second Act: A Guide to Aging Gracefully."
