A critique often leveled against progressive/liberal Christians is that we don't hold a "high" view of the Bible. Stan makes the case here that, for many of us, it's quite the opposite. Approaching the Bible with a better perspective can release beauty and depth that perhaps was absent for us before (while lessening the potential for wielding scripture as a weapon).)
