Hello, welcome back to another episode of Broken Record. My name is Ellie. I'm your host and today we are going to be talking about Gracie Abrams because Gracie is so amazingly amazing and sweet and kind and silly. And she's a singer songwriter from Los Angeles and she is having a very big week.

So Gracie announced yesterday to super cool and super important things. The first thing she knows is that her debut album, Good Riddance is coming out. I'm so excited. I love Gracie.

It's going to be so good. The first exciting thing that she announced is that her debut album, Good Riddance, is out February 24th. I'm so excited for this album. I it's going to be amazing.

And I really want it to be released right now, but it's OK because she also announced that her, the first single from the album, Where Do We Go Now is out January 13th and that's like in three days. I'm so excited. This is going to be amazing. I like I love her.

She OK, so Gracie Abrams is a nephobe baby, which is a nepotism baby. Her father is JJ Abrams and he's like her father is a massive filmmaker. He's directed so many movies that are so well known to. He's directed the new Star Wars movies that have come out in like in the 2010s.

He also directed Star Trek into the darkness, Star Trek, Mission Impossible 3. Like he's he's he's got a good he's got a good buyout, but Gracie is Gracie is his daughter and she's so incredible. And I feel like she gets discredited a lot because she is an epitome baby, but like I feel like Gracie's one of the special cases where like even if she wasn't a nephobe, maybe she would still be famous and still be like succeeding and like popular because she's just so good. She's also going on tour with Taylor Swift and I'm so excited about it because she's what so Taylor Swift has like six openers or something.

I don't know. She has a crazy amount of openers, but there's only two openers per show and in Seattle, Gracie Abrams is opening. So I'm so excited because theoretically if I go to the Taylor Swift concert, which I don't have tickets for, but I'm looking for. But if I go to that concert, I'll get to see Gracie open and that'll be so because that'll be like the biggest.

Well, not Seattle, but like this tour will be the biggest venues that she's played. But that's so cool. OK, anyway, the second thing she announced. So the first thing she announced was our debut album coming out.

The second thing she announced was a tour, the Good Riddance tour. And I'm so excited. I'm so excited because she's coming to Seattle and it's kind of a small tour. So Seattle could have been like kicked off the list because a lot of people don't go to Seattle sometimes and it's so upsetting.

But Gracie's coming to Seattle and it made me so happy. I love her and I'm so excited to see her in concert. I saw her. I saw Gracie perform at the Olivia Rodrigo concert in Seattle at the Wamu Theater and she was incredible.

I missed part of her set because it took so long to get inside the venue because the lines were just crazy outside. But she was so good when we did get in. I love Gracie. She's incredible.

But yeah, so she has two EPs out now, one called Miner and one called This is what it feels like. And they are both so incredible. It's so amazing. I love her.

My favorite, some of my favorite songs of hers are 21, which is off of Miner. I love that song. I also love Feels Like, which is I think her most popular song, at least her most popular song from This is What It Feels Like because I think it went a little bit viral on TikTok or maybe it was just the type of TikTok that I was watching. But it feels like it's off of This is What It Feels Like, her second EP.

But I'm so excited for her to release her album. It's going to be so amazing. I'm so excited. I can't wait to hear it.

Something that I absolutely love about Gracie and I think about all the time is like, I don't know how long ago it was, but like many, many years ago, Gracie posted a picture on Instagram of a CD with like her face on it or like a CD case and her face was on it. And she was like, it's only for a school project, but a girl can dream. And now she's literally like going on tours, releasing her debut album. Like, she, I love her.

She's so cute. Yeah, I'm so excited. I love her to that. So she's signed with Interscope Records, which is so impressive because Interscope is one of the like big names in the music industry.

There's like Interscope, Warner, Columbia, but like, but it's impressive. She did that. I'm so excited. I like, I just, I can't even talk about it because it's just so fun.

And I'm so excited to see her on tour. She's performing at the show box, which is like, decently bigger than the last venue she played in Seattle. The last venue she played was New Mouse, and that's really small. Or it's not really small, but it's a lot smaller than the show box, but that's so exciting.

And so many like, I caught it. People have played at the show box. It's going to be so exciting. I'm so I'm so excited.

It's going to be so good. I love her. I'm so excited. That's just releasing new music because, I mean, fairly recently, she released a new single called Difficult, which is incredible.

I recommend listening to it. But I don't know. I'm so excited. It's always so exciting when someone releases like a body of work or like new music.

And I'm so excited to listen to it. It's going to be so good. It's going to be so good. And like, she's just this much more mature now than once you release.

This is what it feels like. Like, it's just going to be so fun. It's going to be such a good. Oh, no, I just love when people release new music.

Cause I'm really excited. Yeah, it's going to be so good. I'm so I'm so ready. It's I just I will be listening to it when the clock strikes when I like I like I will be ready.

It's going to be so fun. But yeah, live love grace here, bro. Thanks for listening to this episode. My name is Ellie.
