GRACIOUS SPEECH

Devotional Message: Scripture: "Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone." – Colossians 4:6 Our words carry power. They can uplift or tear down, heal or wound, invite or repel. In Colossians 4:6, Paul exhorts us to let our conversation always be full of grace—reflecting the kindness, patience, and love of Christ in every interaction. Gracious speech doesn’t mean avoiding the truth; it means speaking the truth with gentleness and love. It’s being mindful of how our words affect others, and choosing words that bring encouragement, wisdom, and peace. When our speech is seasoned with salt, it becomes tasteful, preserving what is good and making the message of Christ attractive to those around us. This kind of speech begins in the heart. As we spend time with Jesus and allow His Word to fill us, our hearts—and then our mouths—will overflow with grace. In a world quick to speak harshly, gracious words stand out as a testimony of God’s work in us. Today, ask yourself: Are my words reflecting the grace I’ve received from Christ? How can I speak in a way that builds up and blesses others? Prayer: Almighty Father, let my words today be full of Your grace. Help me to speak with kindness, wisdom, and truth. May my conversations reflect Your love and bring encouragement to those around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
