Gradual Decline

Have you ever placed a leaf or a stick on a calm body of water? Have you watched the object(s) for a while only to notice that the object(s) have not moved? What would happen if you decided to run errands? Upon return, you will undoubtedly notice that those objects have since drifted far into the middle of this body of water; the drift was gradual. The same happens with our faith when we disconnect ourselves from communication with God and community.
