Focus… Music has been the focal point of Grammy-award winning producer Focus…since his childhood. Bernard Edwards Jr., Manhattan-born on November 6, 1972, developed his musical talent with the help of his live-in inspiration, Bernard Edwards, bassist and co-founder of the 70s R&B group CHIC. Focus… grew up watching his father play instruments, write songs and produce music and decided then he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps. Focus…taught himself how to play instruments including the bass guitar, drums and piano. Soon after honing his production skills, Focus…moved to Los Angeles, California and began producing remixes.
