Week 1 Learn the basics of Mandarin pronunciation, including tones. Learn the most common Chinese characters and phrases. Start learning simple grammar structures. Curriculum: Learn the Pinyin system of romanization for Mandarin Chinese. Practice pronouncing the four tones of Mandarin Chinese. Learn the following common Chinese characters and phrases: Learn the following simple grammar structures: Week 2 Continue learning common Chinese characters and phrases. Expand your grammar knowledge to include more complex structures. Start practicing speaking and listening to Mandarin Chinese as much as possible. Curriculum: Learn the following common Chinese characters and phrases: Learn the following grammar structures: Start practicing speaking and listening to Mandarin Chinese by watching Chinese children's shows or listening to Chinese podcasts. Week 3 Continue learning common Chinese characters and phrases. Focus on improving your speaking and listening skills. Start practicing reading and writing Mandarin Chinese. Curriculum: Learn the following common Chinese characters and phrases: Practice speaking and listening to Mandarin Chinese by having conversations with native speakers or other learners. Start practicing reading and writing Mandarin Chinese by reading simple children's books or articles. Week 4 Continue learning common Chinese characters and phrases. Focus on improving your reading and writing skills. Start learning more complex grammar structures. Curriculum: Learn the following common Chinese characters and phrases: Practice reading and writing Mandarin Chinese by reading more challenging texts, such as news articles or short stories.
