Grandparents Raising Grandchildren

So you raise your children and watch with pride as they have children of their own. But suddenly, "life gets in the way" and for a variety of reasons, you find yourself a grandparent raising a granchild. It's a phenomenon that is on the rise in the African American community. On the next Another View we'll examine this change in family construct and explore its effects on the grandchild, the parent and the grandparent.
