Granny's prayers by Kai-Anne Clews
from Original Christian Poetry · host Kai-Anne Clews
When you were just a little one Your granny prayed for you All the way up, as you grew, She thanked the Lord for remaining true. Those little prayers she prayed over you Are still procuring you daily grace Those little blessings she hoped for you Are aiding you in life’s great race. For prayers are a deep and glorious mystery, And a type of power that does not atrophy, But become stronger in the passing years, That provide you calm in the midst of tears. Your granny’s prayers bless you still, Even now this very hour, Those of faithful gentle hearts, Are in awe of its unstoppable power. So, say a little prayer of gratitude, For your Granny and your great good start, For remembering you before the Lord, For keeping you in her heart.
