GRATITUDE GIRLS HANGOUT! 6–22-21 Gratitude Girls 930pm EST, 830pm CST, 730pm MST, 630pm PST  Special guest: Debbie VanGrieken  With a passion for Fair Trade and a desire to help others Debbie VanGrieken launched her Brand Moyaa Shea Products in 2016. As a social enterprise Moyaa is committed to producing the highest quality of Premium Organic, Grade A, Shea Butter and Shea products. Using the framework of Fair Trade and introducing a zero-waste program Moyaa strives to transform the lives of people in Uganda by ending the cycle of dependency for the Shea farmers. Moyaa has supported re-seeding programs and practices environmental stewardship both locally and in Uganda.  Moyaa purchased a Charcoal Machine that provide employment and income for up to 125 women in rural Uganda and prevents deforestation by using technology that converts agriculture waste into charcoal for cooking. This initiative aligns with the triple bottom line business model of People, Planet and Sustainability. Debbie personally travels to Uganda to work directly with the farmers and to ensure the integrity of her product and business.  Debbie is a former librarian in a small rural town near Lake Erie. She is married to her best friend and is mother to 5 wonderful young men aged 19-29. Her oldest son is keeping the tradition of all boys with the birth of his two sons.
