But also, that it fixes its hope on the heavenly city prepared by God, and confidently rests in His covenant promises. Their lives of the aforementioned ones testify that faith is not merely believing in present blessings, but persevering in confidence in God's eternal purposes, knowing that He is always faithful to fulfill every promise He has made."But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city."
