Great Expectations Chapter XXI

In which we accompany our young narrator through the dingy, melancholy streets of London and its shabby lodgings, introduced by the peculiar and somewhat mechanical Mr Wemmick, whose countenance bears the marks of a life and town not easily softened. We then meet the modest and kind Mr Pocket, Junior, whose nervous hospitality offers a faint glimmer of warmth amid the dismal surroundings, setting the stage for acquaintance and urban exploration.
