Greed and Fear Masquerading as Stewardship

Jesus talked a lot about money. Money this, possessions that, cash cows, widow’s pennies, rich guy’s houses, expensive perfume and on and on. One theme that threads through it all is generosity. Why was Jesus so intent on telling people to give their money away? Maybe He wanted it for Himself. Or not. Jesus doesn’t want His money back…so why be generous?
