Green Andy- Morality System

from Bivouac Recording SC · host Terence LLoren

Part of the Bivouac. Archive Released Nov 20, 2005 The name of the album is "And Energy". All ten songs have never been sold by me previously. I'm from New York City. Originally Detroit. The equipment I use, instruments or otherwise, changes pretty wildly according to what I have available to me. Whatever it is, it generally gets run through my Digitech RP-1 effects pedal. That's pretty much the only constant from song to song, and even that's not an ironclad rule. I'm Green Andy. I'm a little sad that I've become a recording musician too late to profitably release albums on cassette, because that was always my dream as a kid, and the rectangle seems much more conducive to album artwork than the square. Oh well. Anyway, I make lots of music. Some of it is with instruments. Some of it isn't. I hope you like it. Actually, I just hope you buy it. I once purchased a fully-functioning time machine from an ad in the back of UFO Universe Magazine, went back approximately 17,000 years, and left a Green Andy CD in a cave in Lascaux, France. Scientists are still baffled by that one. Also, I highly recommend checking out my MySpace pages at http://www.myspace.com/greenandy and http://www.myspace.com/askgreenandy.

Lewis's The Last Battle St. Philip's Church: Charleston, SC Come join us on Wednesday nights as we explore the riches of C.S. Lewis’s marvelous book The Last Battle, which is the last of The Chronicles of Narnia. It is a remarkable book on multiple levels and was awarded the Carnegie Medal back in the 1950s when it was first published. The Last Battle has some themes in common with The Great Divorce and That Hideous Strength that will make it an excellent follow-up to those two books, and like them, it has some remarkable resonance with things going on in today’s culture. It is a book that is both theologically rich and poignantly beautiful in its writing, and it can help equip us to live boldly for Christ in a culture that has lost its way. (Although this book is the last of The Chronicles of Narnia, it can stand on its own and it is not necessary to have read the other books for this class.)
