Green Bay Packers Postseason Recap with Kyle Senra

from The Big D Podcast

In this episode, Full Press Coverage Packers host Kyle Senra and I talk about the Green Bay Packers NFC Divisional Playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday night. Heading into this game, Aaron Rodgers was 0-3 against SF including losing the 2019 NFC Championship Game in Santa Clara. During the game, GB's special teams unit cost the Packers at least 10 points. The Packers allowed a blocked field goal and a blocked punt. To make matters worse, GB played SF's field goal with just 10 men. Kyle gave examples of the Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots always having good special teams units. I remember Buffalo Bills special teams star Steve Tasker in the 1990s. With Saturday's loss, Aaron Rodgers is now 12-10 in the playoffs. GB has also made just one Super Bowl appearance. While Rodgers will likely win another MVP, Saturday's game was far too safe for one of the game's best passers. While Davante Adams and Aaron Jones were consistent targets, Rodgers barely targeted everyone else in this game. We both agree GB should have targeted Allen Lazard more. While Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has won 13 games in his first three seasons, this loss gave him a 2-3 playoff record, with two of those losses at home. We look at how his teams could do more in January. We end this episode by predicting whether Saturday's game was the final time Rodgers will suit up for the Packers.
