In June 2018, the AIFC created a Green Finance Centre in Nur-Sultan to promote the development of green finance in Kazakhstan and the Central Asian region. Its objective is to bring new innovative financial instruments to the market, attract sustainable investments to finance local companies, support international initiatives in green finance, and develop expertise in this field.
