and are doing our skills. La la la la la la la la. Hello. Hello, everybody.
And welcome to the theater and Phillips show. Today, we are joined by Lawrence Wineman of the GenXE subscription model. He is a co-founder of GenXE, a site on subject, and co-host for the Daily Live show, the Daily Vateta. They are brazenly liberal, throw offs her comma, and they don't like nice people.
OK, so Lawrence, welcome to the theater and Phillips show. And thank you for coming. Yeah, yeah. Thank you for having me.
Quite an honor to be here. I received your engraved invitation with great trepidation, but also joy. Did you travel far to get here? To get on the show?
Yes, quite far. Quite far from the wilds of my bedroom into my office. It's a treacherous journey. Usually takes weeks at a time, but I made it in record time today, to be here with the two of you, as I said, such an unbelievable honor.
So Lawrence, I had to prepare some questions for you. And certainly Peter, let me get that ready for you. On another note, the thing that you sent a picture of, you should see a doc. OK, so what's your earliest memory of feeling like?
What's your earliest memory of feeling GenX or of GenXE music? Yeah, probably goes back to the womb. There was a moment in my mother's womb, where I distinctly remember feeling GenX. It was a bit like feeling seven up, but different.
Is that the same as sprites? Let's clarify that. No, no, no, no. Good God, no.
One is lime and lime, and the other is limey lemon. They're completely different. I thought sprite was lemonade. No, no.
See, this is I fear you can't understand the complexity of American culture, which is obviously so sophisticated that even our lemon lime drinks are very, very different. Oh, quite. Well, I didn't know that at all, because we get seven in the UK and in France where this. And I thought they were just different brands of lemonade, lemonade, not lime.
So, yeah, no. Yeah, they're different fruits that have been scientifically smashed together so that one half is yellow and one half is green. OK, stop. Stop.
Stop. Stop it. Stop it. Stop it.
Stop it. Stop it. Stop it. Lawrence.
Lawrence. Jesus Christ. Christ. Stop it.
OK, now. Lawrence. English small talk. What?
Lawrence, why launch Gen XC now? What gap were you trying to do? Well, you know, to be precise, the gap is deep in my soul. It's an emptiness where my heart should be.
And so the gap I'm trying to fill is really, I suppose, spiritual, probably because my parents didn't hug me enough as a child. Lawrence, what's the hardest part of hosting live? Tying guests were trolls. Well, I see I love the trolls.
I like to feed the trolls. And then I like to kick the trolls out and tell them that they're being kicked out right before I match their little digital asses out of a chat. So that part is fun. Unruly guests, I suppose, is the most difficult part.
Lawrence, Lawrence, how do you keep a daily show from feeling disposable? Well, I suppose one could argue that in our late stage capitalism, patriarchal society, everything feels disposable. And really isn't that what we all struggle with every day? The feeling of being disposable in a system that treats us like mere cogs in a machine with no personal worth or value, but just some numeric identity assigned to us by some faithless bureaucracy that treats us little better than cattle or sheep or perhaps pigeons.
How long is your number, your social security number in the US? How many digits do you have? Yeah, in the US it's nine digits. OK, in France, my mind is 13 digits.
So I have 13 digits worth of identification. That's very, very impressive. You must be very careful now. In Turkey, do you have a social security number?
Or are you working illegally, perhaps, in Turkey? Well, one, I am legal. Two, it's not my job to know these things. I've never, I've been here for 13 years and I've never counted the numbers on the number card.
OK? And it's like, when people ask me, like, either what number are your glasses? Like, why would I know that? That's not my job.
I go to the eye doctor and he's like, yeah, you're blind. You wear these. What good is it? Have you ever been to an eye doctor and they show you the inside of your eye?
Like, it's going to help you in some way to know, like, I don't know what I'm looking at. So, Lawrence. Cool, it looks like an aerial map of Redways, don't you think? What do you wish listeners knew about the work behind the stream?
Uh, Gus, I wish they knew how much actual love we put into it. You know, we, every night we cry. We cry as we're writing the script for the next day. We're weeping legitimate tears of joy and compassion.
And we're squeezing that through the camera into every show that we do. Do you do it live with Dana, Dana? Or is it, but I have seen the show, I have seen it. But do you do it together?
I think there was one you did together. Is that right? In the same room, or did I imagine it? Hmm.
Yeah. No, that's a great question and clearly demonstrates to me your fandom of the show. And I saw a photo of you, you know each other from the past. There's a photo of you, a real photo.
Uh, you look a bit younger, not much younger. But you actually know each other in as physical people. That's actually no. No, I've, no, I've.
So a lot of people don't know this, but Dana, as you call her, is an AI construct. And what happened is I'm so lonely that I've had a machine construct a friend for me, an imaginary friend, and then I've had her AI photos dropped into all of the pictures of me from the past. So when you see us on the screen together, it's me, really. And, uh, and Dana is merely an AI bot that is responding to the things that I'm saying in real time.
Um, there'll be a data center being built wherever you are, uh, immediately in the near future to help her processing power and truth. Are we talking about data? Yeah. Uh, no, no, who were you talking about?
I was talking about the. AI hologram that I've created to be my imaginary best friend. That's what I did with Philip. Yeah.
I mean, I see that Philip clearly moves, uh, like an AI and not like an actual human. Yeah, I did the movement. So they are right. Right.
It's like in a video game when the character kind of does this thing over and over again. So you can imagine that they're breathing. Yeah. No, that's, that's pretty.
It's okay. Like, uh, yeah, your Philip's rendering is all right. I think maybe there could be some more fine resolution done. Lawrence.
So, Lawrence, look, thank you so much, uh, for coming today. I want to ask you a serious question though. Um, please give us a series of questions. Yeah, it's time to buck up a small bit.
And could you please tell us your top five guests? Uh, yeah. Yes. Um, well, I mean, the episode that we did with Jesus was probably our, our all time best and the most viewed.
Um, if you haven't seen that one, you really need to check it out. I think we, we saw the one with Charlie Kirk. That was a good one. Yeah.
Yeah. So unfortunate what happened midway through that one. It was really that. Oh, hey, hey, hey, hey.
So back. Hey, I cut that out. Okay. No, thanks one.
Oh, oh, oh, it's still me. Is it still on me? Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. That's three more. Oh, number one Jesus. Number two, we're adapted number three.
Well, Santa, my brother Santa Claus. Um, okay. Yeah. That one was very confusing for the audience, I think, because of, you know, how much we look alike.
Um, right, right, right. Yeah. And, uh, you know, the, the Obama episode, I thought was quite touching. Um, right, you know, uh, and I personally don't think he should be indicted for revealing national secrets on our show.
Right. I'm right. I know that that's the thing that the current regime is really pushing for. But, you know, frankly, I think that in a moment of true self-revolatory madness, he, he told us the truth about what happened that day.
And, you know, anyone who saw it, anyone who remembers that day knows that what he was saying with crew. And so I don't know how anyone could pursue, uh, treason charges against him simply for admitting that on our show. Do I still have one more? Uh, no, you had something, you had a father Christmas or Santa, Santa Claus.
Yeah. Jesus, Johnny Kirk, Obama, Obama, right. And Peter, obviously. Yeah.
Now, if you came on, I'm sure that, uh, you would easily get up there into like the top two. Are you, are you, wait, AI, AI? So it's like AI. Clipped this.
Are you tired of ads? Are you ever playing a game and then all of a sudden and add possible on your phone, you say, Oh, no, it's an ad. Well, with brick game, there are no ads. You just put in batteries and then you can play it.
It's available at all miscellaneous stores. Just go to Madagascar and ask her a mamooch and say, you know me. He knows what that means. Now, Lars, Lars, stop.
Oh, we're back to me. Right. Lars, he has these little things. He does on his own.
His little cash. He shows off of it. Does he? Oh, really?
I'm showing up because I can afford a flash. Jesus. Oh, no, you can afford a game boy, a game, whatever they call game machine. It's a bridge game.
It's a bridge game. OK. OK. OK, game.
Yeah. That's very, um, right. Well, very advanced. Yes.
So far as we've spoken about many things, we spoke about how to pronounce a Dane as name and Janet, as I got there. Number two, you spoke about Jesus. Number three, you spoke about Obama. Number four, you spoke about today.
And number five thing we give to you, we call this our our and seven up. We got a revealing conversation about the nature of lemon lime, right? I'll set up a role they play in their economy. Philip and I are starting, as you know, we are inspired very much by your TV show, the day, and we really do owe you so much.
So that's why we have created this Monday thing called manic Monday, where you tell us the most manic thing you have ever done on a Monday, but it must be before midday and after 10 a.m. Normal hours, office hours. I suppose there was that one time that I stapled 500 pieces of paper together. So would you like to talk about time songs?
Yeah, this is the most important part of the show because we don't ask people where they actually live due to privacy laws, but I do ask you where, what time zone you live in so we can get a rough idea on the globe where you live. So what is your time zone? It's atlampian, fiderial time. Which is that P S P S P S T?
No, no, no, it's it's A F E T. So that last time, no, no, no atlampian, fiderial time. I'm in a different dimension than you are. Yeah.
Oh, that was clear. OK, so how about for just people in the in the real dimension? In that I mean, arguably, Philip, one one could say that my dimension is the real dimension and ever since we made contact with your dimension, which we call X 3579, you know, you you people on that lesser earth are in fact not real. Or at least that's what our leaders are telling us in advance of the war.
OK, so you see what Pete does here on when I start speaking, he does this gurning. I think that's a bit childish. Well, I think I think I think I think you're from it. I think you're from it.
Like he's just stupid, dippling up for something. He hates the small talk. He likes the serious questions. When he goes for the series, he likes the pontificating indeed, in fact, and he drinks a lot of water.
I mean, with his variety of addictions, he's got to keep those kidneys flushed. So that makes a lot of sense. How's this working? Oh, if he's quite smoking.
Whoa, whoa, I have done many things right now. We're still is it's still the crystal meth, too. I gave off on the crystal meth when I ran out of water. You know that now everybody to me.
This is the bottom of the show where we go into the the comments section and we look at the comments and we ask we answer some questions. So here we go, Mr. Mr. Winterman, Mr.
Winterman, we're coming out. Oh my God. OK. Kenny Wien says, well, gama.
Kenny Wien says, well said, Lawrence. B.J. Roberts, sweet, fancy Moses. What's happening here, he says.
What do you think about that? This is this is comedy, I think. I think that I think that sweet fancy Moses is the lesser known version of biblical Moses and sweet fancy Moses. My favorite, mostly because he's chocolate, a very fancy chocolate, sweet, fancy Moses is chocolate.
Well, lefty prof says I'm lost long and lefty prop then says what's the topic? Sorry. That's the problem. If you like paying attention, you wouldn't be lost.
You know, I assume that lefty prof means professor. There's lefty prof. Tap on your phone, lefty prof. If you open the maps app, it'll show you with a blue dot where you actually are.
Yeah, lefty prof. Kenny Wien, I love your results. Thank you. Is it a call for accent at you?
Nicole says, or is it Nico or Nicollone? It says true, true. OK. And then Janet Dubois says, Peter, I love you more than Lawrence.
Thank you. Janet Dubois. And that's a lot of hospitals. Is an AI that I programmed to be my best friend and to fill the loneliness that I feel in my life.
I programmed her to say something nice to you, because you're so clearly starving for affection, which I know because my muse tells me every night how you grab them in inappropriate ways. You know, they're all like time in Turkey, the nighttime where I am. You know, my muse is compliment. Yeah, you say Santa Claus as your brother.
Well, Santa Claus is wrong. Turkey and I borrowed his way and I went all the way over there. And I thought to your muse. OK, now everybody.
Lawrence, is there anything you would like to say? At least they said that you curled up into a little ball and wept like a baby and rocked back and forth and said, Mommy. Philip, just give me a minute. If anybody, if anybody has never been to France, I'm actually or a Normandy.
You can actually see it for free here. There you go. You don't have the government in the country. You're now in France.
Can I say England from there? Is that England in the distance? It looks exactly the same as England because it's very close. But it is so that it could be white.
Can you be roughed up from your house? I can see a red flag with them with a hammer and sickle. But that's because my neighbor is actually is actually a comment. You can actually vote for the Communist Party in France, still, which is.
But it will still punch you in the dick when you do that. Actually, no, they give you a drink. But you don't need to pay for it. The drink is free because communism.
Yeah, it's free. It's Germany pasties and Germany hates. It tastes like aniseed, like aniseed. Are you saying Anise or anus?
Aniseed, aniseed, anise, anus. It tastes like anus. Yeah, I've had that before. Yeah, sometimes.
Well, you should come and have a pasties then. No, excellent, excellent. Yes, I will do. I will do.
Has Peter gone all dodgy? He's crazy about it. He's a big boy. You're enraged?
No. No, so it just got very cold in here all of a sudden, Lawrence. So is that because my muse told me what actually happened on the night that you tried to get with them and the way you wept like a tiny little baby and. Yeah, well, if you were insulted.
Little bunny. They're there a little bit. My muse would never insult you in the way that you're amused insulted me that night. It's there's some deeply personal things to me and made fun of some things that, you know, aren't to be made fun of public and it's just, you know, I think you're you're well disillusioned.
Yeah, I know. I know you poor dear. I know. It was just it was terrible.
It was terrible. So Lawrence, I'm going to give you the final word today. What would you like to promote or tell people about the final word? I get the word.
Yeah. Abacus. Abacus, there you go. Well, thank you so much for coming on today.
We really appreciate it. Yeah. No, I have said previously, this was probably the greatest honor of my lifetime. And from the overly elaborate Trump, like invitations that I was sent to the respect with which I was treated here on the show, I think I will treasure these few brief moments we've had for the rest of my life.
So thank you. Fantastic. Everybody, this will be on so abstract tonight and then it will be on YouTube where you can watch with ads. So if you want to watch it for free with no ads, go to Subspace.
If you want to watch it on YouTube with us, go to YouTube on YouTube. You got premium. Okay. They'll be YouTube shorts of Lawrence talking.
It's going to be fantastic. Everyone's going to love it. Okay, everyone. See you later.
I think we have another guest in seven minutes. So say to you. If you want, Lawrence, thank you so much. Okay.
Bye. No, bye. Bye, bye, guys. I'm not.
That's am I gone? Am I still here? I don't know. Well, I'm happening.
Just like two people. Well, can are you doing this? Okay.
