He is a Board-certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist and a Certified Exercise Expert for Aging Adults. He is currently the President of the Academy of Geriatric Physical Therapy (AGPT, 2018-2021), and has previously served the AGPT as Director and Secretary on the Board of Directors, and as Chair of the Practice Committee. Greg is the founding Program Director of the first APTA accredited geriatric residency in the U.S. He has been a member of the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education and its Accreditation Committee for more than 15 years and was Chair of this group twice, in 2008-2009 when it was still known as the Clinical Residency/Fellowship Credentialing Committee, and again in 2013-2014 after the group had become a Board. Greg also recently served as a member of APTA’s Best Practices in Clinical Education Task Force. He has been elected as a delegate to the APTA House of Delegates 9 times (AL and FL), and has served on the Florida Physical Therapy Association (FPTA) Board of Directors and as FPTA Practice Chair. From 2005-2015, he was Director of Rehabilitation for a large post-acute care provider specializing in geriatric rehabilitation. Clinically, he has practiced in home healthcare, outpatient, sub-acute rehab, long -term care, acute care, and rehabilitation hospital settings.
