Gretchen Halpert is the founder the Scientific Illustration Distance Program. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design/ CE, Gretchen has many years of experience working as a scientific illustrator and as an instructor of natural science illustration.The Scientific Illustration Distance Program is composed of four 10-week sessions and includes a ten-week internship or independent study project. The internship gives students the opportunity to work with professionals, develop contacts, and learn how to navigate the freelance world.
