There he was, one of the most influential men in my life, the prankster who could make anyone laugh with his playful sarcasm, blinking periodically to combat the tears that welled in his eyes. That’s when he told me something that would not only alter the way that I looked at life, but would open me to the wonderful world of storytelling.
