Steeped in controversy, the statue had been surrounded by wooden hoarding for the past five years after being vandalized. Jane Brown is joined by the Honourable Donna Skelly, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario for an update since the statue's unveiling last week. Later, Jane is joined by Dr. Patrice Dutil, professor in the Department of Politics and Public Administration at Toronto Metropolitan University and a contributor to the Canadian Institute for Historical Education, to further this conversation. CAA STUDY REVEALS PEDESTRIANS AND CYCLISTS FACE HIGH-RISK NEAR-MISSES IN CANADA Yesterday, CAA released the findings of a seven-month study that has uncovered over 600,000 near-miss incidents across 20 intersections nationwide. Jane Brown is joined by Teresa Di Felice, Assistant Vice President, Government and Community Relations for CAA South Central Ontario to discuss these startling numbers.
