Grief --- Allowing the feeling to work through your body

from I Care About You · host Juliana Jay

Allowing the feeling to work through your body with care for yourself. It is okay to feel grief. Grief is a natural part of life. Grief takes time to work its way through every cell in your body. Grief is due to loss. Loss can be of a person, or a situation, or health condition, or a thing that you held closely. Grief can also be experienced about a potential loss, such as severe illness, and what will happen next. Or it can be an impending divorce or leaving a long-term job; all these things can cause grief. When I lost my parents, I experienced profound grief and sadness. My whole body shook with grief at times. My mind was lost in an ocean of deep sadness, despair, and how I could have been a better daughter. It felt like it would never end. My thoughts were consumed with what-ifs, and what I should have done differently. Of how I could have been better, been a better daughter, a better person. I felt shame for not doing all the things I didn’t do but should of and for devaluing my mother. In this episode of the You Don't Own Me Podcast, we will talk about the signs and symptoms of grief, and things I learned that might help you to move through your grief. Grief of a lost loved one will never leave you but you can learn to move with it and through it to find a deeper life.  https://linktr.ee/youdontownmepodcast @TrackTribe @youdontownmepodcast Just to let you know, this information is for educational purposes only and is not intended to be a substitute for clinical credit.
