Grimes County commissioners to continue negotiating economic incentives for a proposed SpaceX facility

This podcast contains comments from the June 2, 2026 Grimes County commission meeting.Grimes County commissioners do not make a decision whether to offer SpaceX economic incentives for their proposed facility at Gibbons Creek lake.After a 90 minute executive session at the end of Tuesday's special meeting (June 2), county judge Joe Fauth said they directed their county attorney to continue negotiations, that there is no agreement, then he adjourned the meeting.Before going into executive session, the four commissioners who were present listened to about 30 minutes of comments from public speakers. That was followed by Fauth thanking the speakers, adding "We do listen to what you have to say, whether that sinks in or not, we do hear what you say and we take it to heart."Precinct two commissioner David Tullos was absent from Tuesday's meeting.
