In July of 2019, just a couple of days after returning to Tulsa from living in OKC for 4 years, I headed down to Black Wall Street Gallery to meet Dr. Ricco Wright because even in OKC, the word was out about how he has been and is making a huge difference in Tulsa. I have never done this before, but I walked right into his gallery and met the man that I had heard so much about and then sat down with him a few days later. That conversation is one of those that I can truly say has changed my Consciousness in a way that I can’t even put into words. The bottom line is that he is going to shake things up and bring about real change here, and I look forward to seeing his future and the future of the community that he serves unfold in the coming years.
