Groundhog Day with Frank Cone

from Live Well. Be Wise · host Kari Lyons Price

Send us Fan MailToday we warmly welcome Frank Cone. A Wenatchee man who with humor and heart tells us what it’s like to have a son with a developmental disability. You’ll hear what it was like to get the news hours after Evan was born, at 3-pounds, 2 ounces and 11-weeks early, “we believe he has Down’s Syndrome.”You won’t hear Frank talk about sacrifice or being a hero, instead you will hear about a man who faced his “my life is over” moment with courage and grace. Who rose to the circumstances of his own life, to provide his son and family with stability and love. We discuss the fallible aspects of parenting a child with special needs, when anger feels like a betrayal and OCD behaviors aren’t something to be solved, but simply part of daily life.Frank is a humble, kind and humorous soul with whom we had the great pleasure to talk to about his life. He lives with his wife Patty, and his son Evan, downtown Wenatchee. Frank is known for his local wildlife photography and is in our eyes a model for living well and being wise. Bio:My name is Frank Cone.
