Groundwork For MetroNorth's Access to Penn Station; Subway Service Adjustments Coming Later This Year; Fare Hikes For 2023

Happy New Year! In the first episode of the HubTalk Chronicles Podcast in the year of 2023, we are discussing the official groundwork immediately underway for four MetroNorth stations that would serve the deserted southeast Bronx such as Hunts Point, Parkchester-Van Nest, Morris Park, and Co-Op City. North Brooklyn riders will see an increase in G, J, and M line service. The A Express and C Local will have an early start in the AM rush hours. However, the 1, 6, 7, E, F, L, and Q lines will see a slight decrease during Monday and Friday. This is all catering to meet pre-pandemic levels in terms of ridership. Lastly, a fare hike is planned for the year of 2023, which should be held off until the full retirement of MetroCards. Enjoy!
