Grow Up

Most of us of a certain age believe that we are, hopefully, mature. We may think that we are all grown up, but the truth of the matter is that we are not there yet. All of us have some growing up to do as we strive for maturity in Christ. If someone is not behaving in an age-appropriate way, we may say, “Grow up!” As brothers and sisters in Christ we say those words to one another, not in rebuke, but in love. We encourage each other to “grow up in every way” into Christ Jesus. Together we study the Scriptures. Together we seek to imitate our Savior in thoughts, words, and actions until the day comes when, forever ageless, we live in his presence — all grown up!
