Growing in Maturity If God Permits

July 31, 2022All genuine believers in Christ are called to loving obedience to God. Those who do this in humility and honesty can have the assurance they will mature in their faith by God’s grace and direction. However, prolonged, rebellious, and unrepentant sin will most certainly hinder spiritual growth and result in spiritual regression. Hebrews 6:1-8 contains a severe warning that God Himself will not renew people to repentance who put His Son to open shame and contempt.
