GROWING IN SPIRITUAL DISCERNMENT!

from The Kingdom Of God First Podcast. · host Tewe Kolade Felix

Scripture: Hebrews 5:14 "But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil." Spiritual discernment is not just a gift; it's a skill developed through consistent practice and maturity in the Word of God. The writer of Hebrews reminds us that just as the body is trained through exercise, our spiritual senses must be exercised to distinguish truth from deception, good from evil. Discernment grows as we spend time with God, meditate on His Word, and walk in obedience. It's not just about recognizing what is wrong, but also about choosing what is best—what aligns with God's will. In a world filled with blurred lines and subtle lies, discernment is essential for staying rooted in faith and walking in wisdom. The more we grow in Christ, the more our spiritual instincts are sharpened. The Holy Spirit, who lives within us, helps us perceive situations, people, and decisions with godly clarity. As we mature, we learn not to rely on feelings or appearances, but on God’s truth. Today, ask yourself: Am I training my spiritual senses through the Word and obedience, or am I settling for surface-level understanding? Prayer: Almighty Father, sharpen my spiritual senses and help me grow in discernment. Teach me to know Your voice and distinguish Your truth from the world's confusion. May I walk wisely and humbly, always seeking to follow You in every decision. Amen.
