Soon after the resurrection of Jesus (c. 30 AD), God’s church formed and, numerically, began to explode. The way they loved God, loved people, and served the world was a beautiful thing. But just like Poison said, “Every rose has its thorn.” (Hum it with me…) So along with the crazy-rapid growth and double-rainbow excitement of that spiritual community came a lot of growing pains, obstacles, confrontation, persecution, and some…uhh…rather eccentric people (I’m being nice here).
