Growing Pains: S2E6: Dream Lover

Hey Seaver Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Show Me That Smile Again: A Growing Pains Podcast. Today, I'm covering the first CAROL SEAVER Episode for the month of MAY which is S2E6: Dream Lover, aired on November 25, 1986. In this episode Carol tutors the captain of the varsity football team, and is insulted that her parents trust them to be alone in her room, so she starts a rumor about herself. I gotta say Carol really infuriated me this episode. She was rude to her friends and then blamed them for spreading a rumor that she start by opening her big mouth. She wanted so badly to disprove her wholesome clean cut image that she shames her friends for checking out guys at school, as she refers to herself as a woman just (her quote " I don't have to act like a little girl and oogle the boy's swim team when I can be a woman at home")because she's allowed to have guys in her room because her parents trust her (another thing she hates). I really didn't care for Bobby as in I didn't find him at that attractive. If there was a B Story it would have been Mike getting an A on a Pop Quiz for getting the our basic food groups correct (insert eye roll).
