Growing Up in African Household As a Girl

Growing up in an African household as a girl is different and challenging. Girls are assigned chores and duties to prepare them for marriage in the future. Many African girls are restricted from freely socializing with other people in the community without the presence of a family member. Many girls feel they are forced to grow so fast and miss most of the their childhood growth stages. How do we change this so the African girls grow as children and not skip those important life stages?
