As a young child, Mugisha faced extreme violence in Kongo and was forced to flee from home without his parents.  He shares his struggle to survive and the  journey which  led him to enter another country in Africa.   Hear his powerful story about how he learns to speak English, uses his passion to start a school that teaches refugee children how to read, write and speak English and life skills.  Mugisha shares how facing adversity has taught him to develop self discipline, solve problems and make progress in life.  He teaches his young students that even though they live in a challenging environment, they can choose to have a better life.  He impresses upon the young students to stop making excuses and take responsibility for their lives.
