Grown by Grace

After receiving grace, Christians can quietly start measuring their standing with God by moral progress, Bible knowledge, or a polished life. Galatians 3 says the Spirit begins and grows faith through the gospel, not determined effort. Abraham was counted righteous by trusting God’s promise, because Christ bore the law’s curse and gave His perfect righteousness to those who trust Him. This corrects both spiritual pride and guilty despair. Growth comes through deeper trust in Christ, sincere thanks, and love for the Saviour who first loved them.
