On this episode of Start With A Win, we are joined in our virtual studios by Jeff Berger, President, CEO, and Founder of the National Association of Gay and Lesbian Real Estate Professionals. The organization formed rather organically, beginning as a digital marketing concept to provide exposure and resources for real estate agents who belong to and/or work with the LGBT community. After the website became the topic of a Chicago Tribune article spotlighting a specific consumer hiring a real estate agent to sell her house solely based on his inclusion on the site, Jeff knew that he had to expand and organize his idea for broader impact.Today, Jeff sees the main purpose of NAGLREP as creating a safe space for real estate professionals and home buyers in the LGBT community that allows them and their needs to be understood and accepted, which doesn’t always occur in the larger real estate world. NAGLREP is very in touch with their 2,800 members, constantly making adjustments based on feedback and compiling member surveys annually to create the LGBT Real Estate Report.
