But it is true—grown-ups have feelings, just like regular people! And just as it is important to practice empathy with regular people, it is also important to practice empathy with your grown-ups.  It can be quite difficult to tell what your grown-up is feeling. They are often very busy and distracted by adult concerns like tax returns, performance reviews, and adequate flossing.
