Keith Azopardi has won a party leadership election. He continues leading the GSD and as Leader of the Opposition. Mr Azopardi took 58.6% of the vote among GSD members and the executive. Our reporter Ros Astengo was following the story.And, local volunteers continue to help with the aid effort for thousands in the Marrakesh mountains. On the 8th of September this year, Central Morocco was hit by a powerful 6.8 magnitude earthquake. The epicentre was in the Atlas Mountains south-west of Marrakesh, which struck just after 11pm. More than 2,900 people were killed and 5,500 people injured. With the weather worsening, the charity Caring for Gibraltar has again worked with the Strait of Gibraltar Association Trust and EEA International to deliver aid following September’s devastating earthquake.
