Kevin starts the episode by giving an update on the CBA negotiations. The two sides met for approximately 90 minutes this week, and there was zero progress made towards a new deal. Neither side is willing to concede on their core values and because of this a delay to spring training feels inevitable at this point. Kevin then breaks down the best teams to NOT win the World Series since 2000. Kevin discusses the 2011 Phillies who had possibly the best pitching staff in recent history, as well as the 2001 Mariners who won a record 116 games but couldn't get past the Yankees in the postseason. Kevin wraps up the show by talking about MLB Stars who had a down year in 2021 and are looking for a bounce back season this summer. Guys like Keuchel, Ryu, and Hendricks all had down years on the mound and are looking to regain previous form. Also stars such as Mookie Betts and DJ LeMahieu will to shake off an uncharacteristically bad years.
