The Players made an updated proposal but there are still huge gaps that remain in getting a deal done. We are getting dangerously close to the delay of opening day at the end of March. Kevin then talks about Ryan Zimmerman announcing his retirement. Known as "Mr. National" Zimmerman will go down as the greatest player in the Nationals franchise. Ryan is the career leading for the Nationals in games, runs, hits, total bases, doubles, home runs and RBIs. Truly amazing career. Kevin wraps up the show by previewing the opening weekend in NCAA baseball. The top matchup of the weekend is #3 Vanderbilt vs #7 Oklahoma State which will be a ton of fun.
