GSMC Baseball Podcast Episode 705: Early Report Card Grades

Kevin starts the episode talking about the umpires and how they have come under fire after recent altercations. Kevin has never held back his disdain for missed calls or Angel Hernandez, but as a whole Umpires have improved in their accuracy of pitches called correctly dramatically over the past 15 years. Kevin then hands out his early season report card grades. Kevin hands out multiple F's and D-'s to teams like the Red Sox and Reds, but he also hands out multiple A+'s. The Yankees and Angels have currently earned the highest grades in class with their hot starts. Kevin wraps up the show looking at the current Wild Card races for each league and diving into the current statistical leaders across all categories. Names such as Mike Trout, Bryce Harper, and Manny Machado pop of quite often.
