Kevin begins the episode by discussing the Little League World Series. Hawaii defeated Tennessee for the USA Title, and Curaco beat Taiwan for the International Title. The two teams will meet for the World Championship on Sunday. Kevin then breaks down the Julio Rodriguez MEGA-extension with the Mariners. This is one of the most interesting contracts we have ever seen. The deal is worth a minimum $210 million and potentially maxing out as the largest and longest contract in MLB history at $470 million. There are a variety of team and player options that will determine the final amount. Kevin wraps up the show discussing each teams best pending free agent for the offseason. A handful of teams are already looking into the 2023 season and the class of free agents this offseason could certainly change the balance of baseball.
