關於文化 On Culture :適應力，就是無可替代的文化Adaptability is the Ultimate Cultural Identity常聽身邊的朋友說：「台灣沒有自己的文化，因為這裡的一切不是外來的，就是荷蘭、日本殖民與中國傳統文化交織後的產物。」在他們眼裡，彷彿只有純粹的原生歷史才配稱作文化。我對此深表懷疑。I often hear friends say, "Taiwan doesn't have a culture of its own; everything here is imported, a byproduct of Dutch and Japanese colonization mixed with traditional Chinese culture." To them, it seems only uncontaminated, indigenous history qualifies as true culture.
