Guardians Bolster Offense with Adell | Cleveland Guardians News

Cleveland Guardians just pulled off a blockbuster trade deadline move, adding Jo Adell, Nathaniel Lowe, and Foster Griffin to ignite their playoff push. Manager Stephen Vogt is pumped, saying it’s time to start winning. Adell, a former top draft pick, made his debut immediately, going 2-for-3 with a walk and a home run — and he’s already feeling wanted. Lowe and Griffin are ready to contribute right away, with Griffin set to close out the series. Offensively, Adell is already leading the team in homers and RBIs, filling a long-standing need. With José Ramírez rehabbing and Steven Kwan improving, the lineup is reshuffling — Adell and Chase DeLauter splitting right field and DH duties, Lowe facing righties, and Hoskins handling lefties. On the mound, Griffin’s arrival pushes Slade Cecconi to the bullpen and gives Tanner Bibee an earlier start. Cleveland’s clinging to the final AL wild-card spot by one game, trailing the White Sox in the division — but with this new firepower, they’re all-in for October.
