The cheap films had me permanently stationed at the projector, as they weren’t printed with even an open frame lock!” Charles from Virginia: “I just finished listening to your podcast from Friday May 12 and I heard you talk about seeing a boom mic in Young Guns 2 and feeling like it was an error made by the filmmakers.  I had this same experience with M. Night Shyamalan's The Village in 2004! For nearly 20 years I thought I had seen some early cut of that film that was just poorly edited! I was losing my mind and nobody I talked to knew what I was talking about. Now today for the first time I'm learning that this was likely a very isolated incident caused by some poor underpaid projectionist at my local single screen theater.  Thank you so much for sharing that story and reminding me of this experience I had so long ago.
