Guardians Bullpen Shuffle | Cleveland Guardians News

Cleveland Guardians make a bullpen shuffle ahead of their series finale, sending rookie Franco Aleman back to Triple-A after a rough outing that saw him give up four earned runs and hit two batters. Aleman’s ERA sits at 4.43 over 21 games, and his high pitch count yesterday made him unavailable anyway. In his place, the Guardians recall Connor Brogdon — a former big leaguer who was DFA’d earlier this season but cleared waivers. Brogdon posted a 5.28 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in 15 games earlier this year, though he struggled with hard contact. His Triple-A numbers aren’t much better, with a 6.35 ERA in 12 outings. With the bullpen in flux, it’s unclear what role Brogdon will fill — but Cleveland’s search for reliable arms continues.
