Guardians Call Up Top Prospect Genao | Cleveland Guardians News

Guardians call up top prospect Angel Genao from Triple-A Columbus, poised to fill critical infield gaps as Jose Ramirez deals with lingering hand soreness. Genao’s hot streak—batting .300 with 13 homers and 53 RBIs—makes him a perfect fit, especially with Gabriel Arias struggling after a costly error that sparked boos from fans. Versatile at short, second, and third base, Genao’s promotion signals either a contingency plan for Ramirez’s potential extended absence or a bold move to immediately elevate the lineup’s performance.
